👟Steps To Create Guilds

Create your Guild

1. Ask for "Guildmaster" role by clicking on my role button at Mindblowon DAO (the one with the shrimp emblem).

2. Guildmasters that would like to make their own guild (sub-DAO) need to have an ENS to make a Snapshot space for their own sub-DAO proposal and voting mechanism. The steps to create an ENS are quite simple, which:

   

   1. Go to https://ens.domains/.
   2. Click on “go to app” on top right.

   3. Connect your wallet by clicking “connect” on the top left.

   4. Search your desired guild name (ends with .eth), the dashboard will show if your desired name is available or not, if available you can click on the ENS and continue to the next step.

   5. Register your desired ENS, this step will require gas fees around 15$ depending on traffic.

   6. Your ENS is created.

   Why does snapshot use ENS? Because the proposal and voting platform needs security to ensure that a legitimate person with a wallet address made the space to avoid any misconduct, hence on-chain and requires gas fees but only for the space creation part. Other than that our dev made all the necessary adjustments to make sure that everything is gas-less, including off-chain Mindblowon NFT staking for DAO proposal making.

3. After registering your ENS, the next step is to create a Snapshot space. Snapshot is an off-chain voting platform that allows DAOs, DeFi protocols, or NFT communities to vote easily and without gas fees. The steps to create a Snapshot space are as follows:

   

   

   

   

   1. Go to https://snapshot.org/.
   2. Connect your wallet by clicking “connect wallet” on the top right.

   3. Click on the “+” sign on the upper left to create a new space.

   4. Follow each step on the screen, and choose the ENS that you registered before for your space. On the voting strategy choose one person one vote, click on ticket. You can choose your own voting strategy using other token as well by choosing token weighted voting and input the contract of your desired token.

   5. Your Snapshot space is created.

   Why do we need a Snapshot space?

   The most important thing to achieve a community-led entity is by having a proposal and voting mechanism to make a decentralized decision making. We use Snapshot protocol for our proposal and voting mechanism because it is commonly used by big name NFT projects and even well-known crypto currency communities, therefore the quality is proven. Snapshot protocol needs security to ensure that a legitimate person with a wallet address made the proposal to avoid any misconduct, hence you need to register an Ethereum Name Service to create a Snapshot space, which is where all proposals submission and voting take place. 4. After creating your Snapshot space, you are ready to create your own guild, go back to our Creative Hub and follow the next steps.

5. Navigate to "Guilds and Collabs" section under Mindblowon DAO (two emblem down).

   
6. You will see a "Create Guild" button on the right, click on it and a pop-up will come out, just fill in the blanks as follows:

   

   1. Guild name: MBO (activities) Guild This is the name format to make everything neater! Just put your guild activity and put "MBO" in front and "Guild" on the back. (ex: MBO Partnership/Collab Guild)

   2. Username: mbo(activities)guild This section is for your guild URL. (ex: mbopartnershipcollabguild)

   3. Description: (activities) Fill in this section to describe what your guild is doing.

   4. Visibility: Public or Private You can set the visibility of your guild to public or private, public means that everyone will be able to join your guild, but in private mode anyone who wants to join will need to ask first and submit their reason to join your guild.

   5. Snapshot Space: your registered ENS Put your ENS that is already connected with a Snapshot space here.

   6. Profile Picture: Image format You can customize and choose your guild profile image that will be shown in the mindblowon guild/collab dashboard.

   7. Banner: Image format This section is for banner, witjh the same purposes as the profile picture, to be shown on the Mindblowon guild/collab dashboard.

   8. Submit and shortly you will see your guild on the dashboard.

   9. Explore, connect, co-create, and have fun!
